Grace House Logo

Grace House Rochester

Grace House Rochester exists to provide a smooth transition to community life for men recently released from a correctional facility, who have demonstrated a consistent commitment to change, by providing a highly structured program based on Christian principles

Grace House Rochester is run and owned by New Testament Christian Church, but supported by many local churches, ministries and businesses. There are currently 3 Grace House Rochester locations: Amherst St, Jones Ave, and Norton St.

Primary Goals and Objectives

The residents of Grace House Rochester are supervised and held accountable to the Parole release conditions and Grace House Rochester reporting rules. The residents are subject to the “Grace House” accountability issues defined by their individual Case Manager. The Grace House Rochester program is a leader in its field having created a unique partnership and linkage agreement with the New York State Division of Parole. Monroe Ave. - Amherst St. IntersectionThe success of Grace House Rochester is due to the unique partnerships with the religious community, local businesses, addiction treatment program, the Monroe County Department of Social Services, various job training programs (VESID), literacy volunteers and local employers working together to provide an opportunity and a clear direction of accountability for program participants to become productive members of society and gain the life skills necessary to live independently.

Through the experienced agency staff, daily contact with the New York State Division of Parole and numerous community agency collaborations and churches the Grace House Rochester residents will have all food, clothing, and medical needs met as well as the ability to receive spiritual and mental health counseling at no personal cost.

During program commitment, which is 60 to 120 days, the primary goals are resident stabilization and community safety. Through case management and involvement with collaborative community partners each participant is screened, assessed and then a transitional program is designed to meet each residents required level of care. Staff encourages clients to become self-supportive, and connect with care providers that will assist the individual to live independent and free.
