Discovery Groups

At NTCC, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together! So we want to encourage you to check out a Discovery Group. Discovery Groups are integral to all that we do at NTCC. Discovery Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God and make a difference. We encourage everyone to be involved in a Discovery Groups on a weekly basis, and to participate and invite your friends to the groups that you are interested in.

Discovery Groups consist of 15-17 people who meet once a week for just 60-90 minutes in convenient locations all across our community. What a small time commitment for something that could add so much value to your life!

Here are some great reasons to sign up for a Discovery Group:

1. You will grow spiritually and learn more about the Bible…

2. You will meet new friends who are going through the same things you are…

3. You will be encouraged and prayed for to help you through the tough times…

4. You will have a lot of FUN!

Fall Discovery Groups kick off the week of September 28th and last through mid-December.

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at NTCC is committed to assisting every woman to be ‘all that she can be’.

Understanding that life itself is a process and always changing, things need to be learned and developed, both physically and spiritually. The Women’s Ministry at NTCC is available to help every woman through her own life process, with vision for growth, change and development. We have vision for women to function in their talents, based on calling, not limited to gender. We have vision to assist women in their walk through life, both physically and spiritually. All women are able “ministers” – to God, to their families, to their friends, in the work place, at the market place…. where ever she finds herself.

The main focus of the Women’s Ministry is to minister to the total person through spiritual application, to build relationships through prayer and support for each other. Growing, Learning and Serving are all key elements to helping women obtain their full potential.

Discovery Groups
The main area of ministry to women is through small groups, which meet in homes, called Discovery Groups. In these groups, relationships are built and friendships are established. Needs are met through support, prayer, encouragement, love and acceptance in a safe environment. A variety of groups are available each week, during the day or evening for women in every sphere of life.

Corporate Gatherings
Periodically during the year we have Corporate Gatherings. Women gather from NTCC and other churches in the format of breakfasts, lunches, retreats, conferences and seminars. These times are for women from various areas and walks of life to get in touch with each other, as well as for growth and direction.

Felt Needs
The Women’s Ministry endeavors to fulfill the needs of the church as they arise. This is how we do that:

Assists women with meals

• After having surgery (2 meals a week for 2 weeks)
• After having a baby (2 meals)

Send flowers of encouragement (this pertains to anyone in the church

• After having surgery, with an overnight stay in the hospital
• After having a baby
• With the death of an immediate family member

Dinner 4 Six
The Women’s Ministry oversees the Dinner 4 Six, which is where groups of 6 people (young, old, married, single or with children) get together 3 times a year for a night of fun, food and fellowship. The Dinner 4 Six is another avenue of helping develop relationships in the church.
